In an unexpected administrative shift, Hazim Bangwar, widely recognized for his unique style and unconventional career path, has been removed from his role as assistant commissioner in Karachi.
According to a local news report, an official notification instructed Bangwar to report to the Services and General Administration Department for further directives.
Bangwar, who has a background in fashion design, made a name for himself with his distinctive approach to public service. His diverse career includes modeling, poetry, and fiction writing, which contributed to his public popularity.
His mother is of Iraqi descent, and his father, Akbar Ali Bangwar, formerly held the position of Deputy Inspector General (DIG) of Police.
Since his appointment as assistant commissioner for Karachi’s North Nazimabad in 2023, Bangwar became a social media sensation, sparking curiosity about his personal and professional life.
Recently, Bangwar also addressed criticisms of his fashion choices and effeminate style. In a statement shared by journalist Rai Saqib Kharal, he defended his appearance and criticized the use of femininity as an insult.
