Bloody Clash Between Two Groups Causes Five Killed, Two Injured in Karachi’s DHA

Published on

Five people were killed and two others injured in a shooting between two groups over an old feud in Karachi’s Defence Housing Authority on Thursday night.

The clash happened between the Fahad Bugti and Ali Haider Bugti groups in DHA’s Khayaban-e-Nishat. The victims and the injured were relatives of the late Baloch leader Nawab Akbar Khan Bugti.

DIG South Asad Raza said the violence was due to an “old enmity.” Police reported that three members of one group and two from the other were killed. All involved were cousins.

Police and rescue teams took the bodies and injured to Civil Hospital. The deceased were identified as Mir Esa Bugti, Ali, Fahad, Naseebullah, and Mir Mesum Bugti, while Mir Ali Haider Bugti and Qaim Ali were injured.

Sindh Home Minister Ziaul Hassan Lanjar has asked for a detailed report from the Additional IGP Karachi, noting that the clash resulted from personal animosity within the same tribe. He promised that all necessary actions would be taken to enforce the law.
