J.I.’s Public Aid Committee Takes Charge, Raises Citizens’ Al-Asif Chowrangi Traffic Concerns
Karachi: Commuters on the M-9 Super Highway are facing daily nightmares due to poor planning at Al-Asif Chowrangi. The removal of the chowrangi without proper alternatives has forced residents to take long, dangerous U-turns, causing:
🚦 Massive traffic jams
⚠️ Frequent accidents
🔥 Constant daily disputes
From Sohrab Goth to Bahria Town and Scheme 33 to Gulshan-e-Mimar, citizens are stuck in long traffic snarls and extreme frustration.
In a statement Emir Jamat e Islami District Gadap higlighted the residents grievinces on the issue . He said
This chowrangi issue may seem minor, but poor planning by authorities has turned it into a nightmare for residents. This roundabout serves a large population, including Sohrab Goth, Scheme 33, areas around Abul Hasan Isfahani Road, Gulshan-e-Mimar, Ahsanabad, and even Bahria Town. Residents from all these areas face daily traffic chaos and delays, highlighting the urgent need for proper urban planning.
“He directed the Public Add Committee of Sohrab Goth to pursue the matter with the authorities.”
Sunday Demonstration Highlights
On Irfan Ahmed’s directive The Public Aid Committee, Sohrab Goth , held a demonstration at Al-Asif Square on Sunday. Large no of residence gathered at Al Asif Square stop and recorded their protest pecefully .
Speaking on the occasion Deputy Emir of Jamat e Islami Gadap District Mr.Khalid Siddiqui said:
“Whenever anyone enters this area, chaos, traffic jams, hurdles, and fights are inevitable. This road is the lifeline of Karachi—not just significant, but crucial. Even a minor incident here can disrupt not only the neighborhood but the entire city and even the province.”
Public Aid Committee President Abu Zia Parvez said:
“The administration must fix small issues before they turn into major crises.We are coordinating with both the public and authorities. Citizens’ complaints have been delivered, and we hope the administration will act quickly.“
Citizens Demand:

Residents warn that without urgent action, traffic chaos, accidents, and daily stress will only get worse.
