In a remarkable step towards empowering Pakistan’s youth, Alkhidmat Foundation Pakistan’s ‘Bano Qabil’ program has expanded to Lahore, following its successful launch in Karachi. The initiative awards free laptops to students who have completed courses in various fields, aiming to equip them with the tools needed to kick-start their professional careers.
A grand ceremony was held at the Expo Center in Lahore to celebrate the achievements of thousands of students who completed advanced courses in IT and other fields. Hafiz Naeemur Rehman, the emir of Jamaat-e-Islami Pakistan, attended the event as the chief guest.
Certificates were distributed among the graduates, while high-performing students were awarded free laptops to support them in starting their professional careers.
Addressing the event, Hafiz Naeem highlighted that over 65% of Pakistan’s population consists of youth under 30, making them a valuable asset for the country’s future.
He emphasized the potential of the IT sector to create employment opportunities for the unemployed youth.
He said, “Pakistan’s natural resources are abundant, and the Constitution promises free and quality education for every child. However, nearly 25 million children remain out of school, which is a governmental responsibility to address. Alkhidmat’s ‘Bano Qabil’ program, initiated in Karachi in 2022, is now being expanded across the country, targeting underprivileged districts in Balochistan, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Sindh, and Punjab. These campuses will offer modern IT and other technical courses, enabling youth to not only earn livelihoods but also create opportunities for others.”
Over 50,000 students have already begun their professional journeys through this program, with plans to equip one million students in the next two years with advanced skills in IT, freelancing, digital marketing, web development, and e-commerce.
Bano Qabil stands as a transformative initiative by Alkhidmat Foundation, focusing on providing marginalized youth with the skills and resources needed to thrive in today’s digital economy. By fostering education and entrepreneurship, it aims to create a brighter future for Pakistan’s youth and contribute significantly to the nation’s development.
