In a tragic incident near Baloch Colony pull in Karachi, a man lost his life when a speeding oil tanker overturned onto his car.
Rescue sources identified the deceased as Asad, who was taken to Jinnah Hospital after the car, trapped under the tanker, was removed with the help of a crane.
Fire Officer Zulfiqar confirmed the completion of the rescue operation and stated that the district administration has been informed to transfer the oil from the tanker.
However, it is not possible to remove the tanker without first emptying it.
Despite several hours having passed since the accident, the district administration remains absent, and the large crane needed to remove the tanker has yet to arrive. Meanwhile, kerosene oil continues to leak from the tanker, posing a further risk of accidents.
Both tracks of the Baloch Colony pull are closed, causing significant inconvenience to commuters, with traffic heading to the Korangi Industrial Area being diverted to alternative routes.
Additionally, some individuals have begun collecting the leaking kerosene oil in containers and bottles, despite police advisories to stay away from the area.
