Karachi, the vibrant heart of Pakistan, turned into a global cultural hub as the 39-day World Culture Festival 2025 welcomed over 1,000 artists from 142 countries, showcasing an extraordinary blend of art, music, and tradition.
Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah described the festival as a “historic milestone” and a proud moment for both Sindh and Pakistan.

Speaking at the closing ceremony at the Arts Council of Pakistan, Karachi, the CM highlighted that the event was more than a festival — it was a celebration of peace, tolerance, and Sindh’s legendary hospitality. The closing coincided with Sindhi Culture Day, adding vibrancy and unity to the festivities.
Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah congratulated Ahmed Shah, President of the Arts Council of Pakistan Karachi, and his team for organizing an event that many thought impossible. He called it a landmark achievement in Pakistan’s cultural history, praising the coordination that brought together artists from over 140 countries.
“Karachi has opened its arms to the world, showing that our city is a symbol of peace, tolerance, and creativity,” he said. “This festival reflects Sindh’s enduring message of harmony and coexistence, carried forward by generations of poets, musicians, and artists.”
He paid tribute to cultural icons such as Shah Abdul Latif Bhittai, Sheikh Ayaz, A.R. Nagori, Musarrat Mirza, Muhammad Juman, and Abida Parveen, whose work has spread messages of peace and love globally.
The ceremony included a red carpet welcome, Quran recitation, national anthem, a festival documentary, and awards for international and local artists. Provincial ministers, diplomats, ambassadors, consuls, senior officials, cultural delegations, and media representatives attended the grand event.
Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah also thanked foreign missions, international performers, and local artists for their contributions. He reaffirmed the Sindh government’s commitment to promoting cultural activities throughout the province and emphasized that Karachi is truly a global cultural capital, while Sindh represents a land of peace, diversity, and creativity.
The festival concluded with thunderous applause, as the audience celebrated both the success of the World Culture Festival 2025 and the rich traditions of Sindhi Culture Day, marking a truly unforgettable cultural milestone .
