In a bold move to clean up Lahore’s streets, Chief Traffic Officer Athar Waheed has revealed that the worst violators of traffic laws include the very people meant to enforce them — the police.

In just one day, 93 police officers were fined for traffic violations. “No one is above the law,” Waheed declared. “Those who enforce the rules must follow them first.”
The CTO didn’t stop there — he called out lawyers too. “If the bar wants to strike, let them. But no rider — lawyer or not — will be allowed on the road without a helmet.”
Since taking office, Athar Waheed’s crackdown has led to the arrest of over 27,000 violators, showing he means business.
“Whether it’s a citizen, a cop, or a counsel — rules are for all. Real reform starts from the top,” he added.
