In Karachi’s Orangi Town, armed robbers stormed a cattle pen, held the staff hostage, and fled with seven sacrificial animals worth nearly Rs 2 million. The police have registered a case.
The incident took place on Thursday morning near Ayesha Mosque in Raja Tanveer Colony, Iqbal Market, where more than 10 armed men entered the cattle enclosure, took the staff hostage at gunpoint, and loaded the animals into vehicles they had brought along.
SHO Iqbal Market Sher Muhammad Sangi said that a case has been registered, and the Crime Scene Unit was called to collect evidence. He added that efforts are underway to trace the culprits soon.
The police are also reviewing CCTV footage from the area to identify the suspects and track the vehicles and motorcycles used in the robbery. The SHO confirmed that investigation is ongoing.
