11 Year Old Karachi Boy Develops Cutting-Edge AI Assistant Robot

-

In a remarkable display of youthful creativity, 11-year-old Hasnain from Karachi has gained global recognition for his advanced creation.

A promising young technologist, Hasnain has built an AI assistant robot named “Muhammad Ali,” showcasing his impressive skills and passion for technology.

The voice-activated robot highlights Hasnain’s expertise and enthusiasm for modern tech. Reporters visited him in Saadi Town, Karachi, where he demonstrated the robot’s capabilities and interactive features.

Hasnain explained, “The robot listens, processes, and responds like a human. It connects to my laptop, and I programmed it to activate when I call its name, Muhammad Ali. The programming window indicates it’s listening and processing before it speaks and performs the task.”

When reporters asked the robot for a “chai” (tea) recipe, it provided a detailed response, eliciting a smile from Hasnain. “He’s Pakistani, so he understands our love for chai,” Hasnain said with a laugh.

He further described how Muhammad Ali can assist with various tasks: “He can open websites, create shopping lists, and even handle household chores. If given the command, he can switch to solar power too. It all depends on the programming and instructions I provide.”

Currently, the robot’s head is incomplete, with visible wires instead of a brain. Hasnain noted, “I’m working on the head with a 3D printer, and it will be finished in a few days.”

Hasnain’s interest in robotics began two years ago with a beginner’s course at the Imam Hussain Institute in Scheme 33, Karachi. Since then, he has expanded into game development and robotics, with the AI assistant being the centerpiece of his summer project.

He shared, “I was fascinated by robotics from the beginning. After the beginner’s course, I continued my training this year. This AI assistant was my final project for the summer course.”

Remarkably, Hasnain builds the robot entirely on his own and often helps university students with their projects.
