Surveys were consistently indicating the growing popularity of Jamat-e-Islami and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf in areas once considered strongholds of the MQM. This trend was evident throughout election day, with Jamat-e-Islami and PTI gaining traction.
Following the announcement of the election results, there has been significant criticism directed towards these elections, especially on social media platforms, where a deluge of negative feedback has surfaced regarding the issue.

Another intriguing post gaining traction on Facebook is a screenshot depicting Mirza Ikhtiar Baig, who is declared elected from the Defence Clifton area. According to the screenshot, despite receiving 52,000 votes, the candidate only has a total of 378 followers on his account.
