Step aside, Alphonso—Karachi’s Malir district is now home to the world’s most elite mango: the Miyazaki, commanding a jaw-dropping Rs 300,000 per kilo!

A daring farmer in Memon Goth has done the unthinkable—importing the rare Japanese Miyazaki mango plant and successfully cultivating it on Pakistani soil.
Nicknamed the “Egg of the Sun” and the “Dinosaur’s Egg,” this mango isn’t just exotic—it’s a luxury statement. With its deep red-purple skin, melt-in-your-mouth fiberless flesh, and intoxicating aroma, it’s no wonder it sells for $800 to $900 per kg on the international market—sometimes crossing Rs 3.5 lakh per kilo!
Once the crown jewel of Japan, the Miyazaki mango has officially found a second home in Karachi.
