Pak Rupees Hit a New Low Against US Dollar, Sliding to Rs. 279.56 a 1 USD
In Islamabad, the rupee experienced a decline of 21 paisas against the US dollar during Tuesday’s interbank trading session, concluding at Rs279.56 compared to the previous day’s Rs279.35.
Meanwhile, according to the Forex Association of Pakistan (FAP), the US dollar’s buying and selling rates in the open market were reported at Rs279.7 and Rs282.25, respectively. The Euro saw a slight decrease of 03 paisas, settling at Rs301.24 in contrast to the previous day’s Rs301.27, as per the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP).
Similarly, the Japanese Yen saw a marginal decrease of 01 paisa, closing at Rs1.85. Meanwhile, the British Pound witnessed a notable decrease of 76 paisas, trading at Rs351.94 compared to the previous closing of Rs352.70.
Additionally, the exchange rates for the Emirates Dirham and the Saudi Riyal experienced minor increases of 05 paisa and 06 paisa, respectively, closing at Rs76.11 and Rs74.54.
