First FIR of 2025 Registered Against Guava Vendor Over Rs. 20 Price Hike

-

Pakistan’s first FIR of 2025 registered in Kot Addu involves a street vendor whose decision to sell guavas at a price 20 rupees higher than the government-approved rate has turned into a juicy scandal.

The case, registered as FIR 1/25, was filed after the vendor was caught selling guavas at 120 rupees per kilogram, while the Price Control Committee had set the official price at 100 rupees. It seems the vendor thought his fruit was worth a little extra, but it’s landed him in a fruity mess instead.

Assistant Commissioner Muhammad Asghar Iqbal Laghari filed the FIR under the Price Control Act, and now Kot Addu residents are witnessing the first juicy drama of 2025—a fresh reminder that in Kot Addu, even a small price hike of Rs. 20 can stir up big trouble!
