On Eid Ul Fitr, audiences can also anticipate the release of the director’s cut of “Taxali Gate”. This version boasts a revamped first half and numerous additional scenes. Director Abu Aleeha assures that fans of the original will find this iteration more captivating, as it offers improved flow and deeper character exploration.
“Godzilla Vs. Kong -The new Empire”
Undoubtedly, the most highly anticipated commercial release this Eid-ul-Fitr is “Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire”. Centered around the colossal titans of cinema, the film depicts their epic clash with another formidable monster from the subterranean realm. Starring Milly Bobbie Brown and Vera Farmiga reprising their roles, audiences are eager for the mayhem and destruction the two titans will unleash on the big screen.
“Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire”
Ghostbusters Afterlife, extending the storyline three years beyond its predecessor. This sequel reunites three iconic figures from the 1984 original—Bill Murray, Dan Akroyd, and Ernie Hudson—as they embark on a mission to protect New York City from supernatural threats.
“Pemandi Janazah”
Pemandi Janazah is an Indonesian horror film, is set to premiere in theaters during Eid Ul Fitr. The story revolves around a woman responsible for bathing dead bodies before their burial, who becomes entangled with an evil force. “Pemukiman Setan”
“Pemukiman Setan” (translated as “The Devil’s Settlement”) is another Indonesian horror film set to debut in theaters this Eid Ul Fitr. Alongside three friends, she embarks on a mission to rob a house filled with antiques, only to find themselves trapped in a nightmare of terror within its walls.
“Algea: God of Pain”
Another horror film making its way to theaters in Pakistan is “Algea: God of Pain.” Drawing inspiration from Greek mythology, the title alludes to the god of pain. The storyline follows various characters as they confront their inner demons and encounter Algea themselves.
“The First Omen”
The first Omen serves as a prequel to the renowned 1978 horror masterpiece, delving into the origins of Damien Thorne. Offering insights into how Damien came into existence, this film aims to unravel the mystery behind the chilling revelation witnessed by Gregory Peck’s character in the original movie.
“Winnie the Pooh: Blood and Honey 2”
The movie continues the saga of the indie horror film that transformed the beloved bear into a murderous psychotic. While the concept may not appeal to everyone, fans of the original—albeit a niche audience—might find this sequel worth exploring.
It’s noteworthy that discussions are underway regarding the release of “Hum Tum Aur Woo” on Eid. However, in light of ongoing protests from members of the film fraternity, we have chosen not to include it in this list. Additionally, there is anticipation surrounding the release of the Indian Punjabi film “Parahuna 2” in Punjab. However, it’s important to mention that the film is still awaiting censor clearance.
