-

Police announced on Tuesday the closure of 462 social media accounts suspected of spreading religious and ethnic animosity online.

The spokesperson stated that the anti-extremism unit had identified 1,522 accounts engaged in detrimental activities. Among these, 65 were linked to religious animosity, 47 to propaganda against the nation, and 350 to the dissemination of terrorism-related content. The remaining 1,060 accounts are slated for closure soon.

The spokesperson emphasized that curbing extremism is vital for combating terrorism and enhancing the city’s security.
