🎯🇵🇰 Pakistani marksman Asad Wahid made the nation proud by competing in the F-TR (F-Class Target Rifle) category against 208 world-class shooters, including reigning world champions, former European champions, and top national shooters from across the globe.
The intense competition tested shooters over six stages at 800, 900, and 1000 yards, with heavy rain, gusty winds, and changing weather making the challenge even tougher.
Despite the extreme conditions, Asad displayed exceptional focus, precision, and skill, scoring 449 points from 90 shots. He narrowly missed a top-three finish by just one point, finishing fifth overall and becoming the only non-American shooter in the top five.
Previously, Asad had already claimed a silver medal in the 1000-yard category, cementing his reputation as one of Pakistan’s finest long-range shooters.
In addition to his individual success, Asad was part of the Pakistan Long Range Rifle Team, which achieved a historic double gold at the 2025 South Africa F-Class National Championship, defeating reigning world champions. He contributed to the team’s victories in the Jack Mitchley Match, Vice President Team Match, and Chairman’s Team Cup, showcasing Pakistan’s rising strength in international shooting sports.
Asad Waheed’s performance continues to put Pakistan on the global map for precision shooting and long-range rifle competitions.
