‘Actors are Smarter Than Drama Critics’
Pakistani superstar Humayun Saeed continues to dominate both TV and cinema. His film Love Guru has grossed a massive 85 crore PKR, while his drama Main Manto Nahi Hoon is breaking records on ARY Digital with a TRP of 12.4 and over 5 million views per episode. Written by Khalil-ur-Rehman Qamar and directed by Nadeem Baig, the drama has sparked debate among fans and critics alike.

In a recent interview with Ambreen Fatima, Humayun Saeed responded to those who claim the drama is “too complicated.” He said he “laughs at the criticism”, adding:
“It’s their job. Just like we act in dramas, they also do theirs. But I request people not to troll them, because they are senior artists who deserve respect.”

Saeed went on to say he loves when Manto sparks discussion:
“There should be dramas that raise questions. I enjoy seeing people debate after each episode and then find answers as the story unfolds. Those who are intelligent are already understanding it well.”
He also credited the strong script for bringing the cast on board, saying:
“All the actors agreed instantly because of the powerful story. We should give credit to the writer. Today’s actors aren’t fools—they know what they’re doing, sometimes better than the reviewers.”
With his commanding screen presence and back-to-back successes, Humayun Saeed has once again proven why he remains one of Pakistan’s most bankable stars.
