Scandal Erupts as Audit Uncovers Vanishing Act Inside Government Office

A stunning scandal has rocked the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Livestock Department: 80 government vehicles have vanished into thin air, triggering alarms over corruption, mismanagement, and possible inside collusion.

Gone Without a Truce-80 Government Vehicles Missing from KP

An official audit for fiscal year 2023–24 revealed that while over 200 vehicles were purchased between 2007 and 2021 under various development projects, 80 of them are unaccounted for—with no paperwork, no location, no explanation.

What’s more shocking? These vehicles are still officially registered under the DG Livestock in Excise Department records. But on ground, they’re nowhere to be found—not in the field, not in offices, not even in the garage.

The audit has flagged serious lapses in oversight and transparency, urging an immediate probe to track down the vehicles and bring the culprits to light.

Livestock Minister Fazal Hakim confirmed the findings, saying that letters have been dispatched to concerned departments to begin recovery, and an inquiry committee under the Secretary Livestock has been tasked with investigating the scandal.

As pressure mounts, the big question looms:
Where did the vehicles go—and who’s profiting while public assets disappear?
