CAIRO: Pakistan made a strong start at the World Junior Team Squash Championship, comfortably defeating both Brazil and Kuwait 3-0 in their opening matches.
According to reports, on the first day of the championship being held in New Cairo, Egypt, Pakistan—placed in Group F—won both of its league matches. The national team dominated Brazil in the opening match, securing a clean 3-0 win without any difficulty.

Maintaining their superb form, Pakistan then outclassed Kuwait with another 3-0 victory in the second match.
Pakistan’s third and final group match will be played on Monday against France. France also defeated Kuwait 3-0 in its first match, handing Kuwait back-to-back losses.
The Pakistani junior team includes Abdullah Nawaz, Anas Ali Shah Bukhari, Muhammad Umair Asif, and Ubaidullah, with Rao Atif Kamran serving as manager and Faraz Muhammad as coach.
