Sikandar Raza’s 24-Hour Cricket Sprint – From England Test to PSL Final Glory

-

He ran, He saw , He conqured .

In a story straight out of a cricketing thriller, Sikandar Raza swapped England whites for Qalandars green in just one day — flying across continents to chase PSL glory.

Less than 24 hours before the final, Raza was in Nottingham fighting to save Zimbabwe from a Test defeat, hammering 60 off 68 balls. As soon as the match ended, he boarded a flight to Lahore — landing just 10 minutes before the toss.

Lahore Qalandars weren’t sure he’d make it in time, so they prepped two line-ups: one with Raza, one with Shakib Al Hasan. But the allrounder beat the clock and was rushed straight from the airport to the stadium — straight into the XI.

It’s been a whirlwind season for Raza — hopping between continents, Test matches, and PSL knockouts. He returned to Pakistan just in time to help Lahore beat Zalmi, then rejoined Zimbabwe for the England Test, only to fly back again for the final.

From English overcast skies to the roar of Gaddafi Stadium — Raza’s hustle is the stuff of cricketing legend.
