150,000 Jobs for Skilled Youth-Pakistan, Belarus Agree on Historic Deal

In a groundbreaking move, Pakistan and Belarus have reached an agreement that will see over 150,000 skilled Pakistani youth offered job opportunities in Belarus. This deal marks a new chapter in the bilateral relations between the two countries, with a focus on military cooperation, trade, and multiple other sectors.

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif’s official visit to Belarus was met with a warm reception from President Alexander Lukashenko. The military paid tribute with a salute and a guard of honor, followed by the playing of the national anthems of both nations.

A ceremony followed, where officials from both sides signed several important agreements and memorandums of understanding (MOUs). Notably, a major pact between the Ministries of Defense to enhance military cooperation was signed.

Additional agreements include collaboration between Pakistan’s Trade Development Authority (TDAP) and Belarus’s Chamber of Industry and Commerce, as well as a pact between Belarus Post and Pakistan Post to improve postal services between the two nations.

In their discussions, the leaders also agreed to cooperate on initiatives related to agriculture, the manufacturing of agricultural machinery, the production of electric vehicles, food security, and business-to-business ties.

Both leaders expressed their satisfaction with the growing relationship and emphasized the positive impact these agreements will have on both nations.
