Trump’s Gaza Gamble-A Throne of Thorns Awaits

-

The world watches. The world warns. But Trump doesn’t listen.

Donald Trump is playing with fire, envisioning a second Nakba as he declares his desire to “take over” and “own” Gaza after the war. He speaks of a bold new state, an American expansion, as if Gaza were an unclaimed prize—ignoring the blood-soaked history beneath his ambitions.

His plan? Forcible displacement. He has already floated the idea of relocating Palestinians to wealthy neighboring nations, dismissing Gaza as “a symbol of death and destruction” that he will transform into an economic hub for “the people of the area.”

But this isn’t just reckless—it’s impossible. The United Nations has sounded the alarm. Saudi Arabia, Egypt, and Jordan have drawn a red line. Even Europe and America’s closest allies refuse to back this dangerous delusion.

International law does not bend to personal ambition. Hamas has called it an invasion. Hezbollah has labeled it “criminal.” Iran and the wider Arab world stand ready to respond.

And if American boots touch Gaza’s soil? The consequences will be unthinkable. A war with no way out. U.S. embassies stormed. American interests in flames. This will not be another Afghanistan—it will be far worse.

Gaza is not a vacant land waiting for a conqueror. It is a battleground primed to explode. Any forced takeover will ignite a fire even Israel cannot contain.

Trump’s vision is a fantasy. The world will not follow. His throne may be waiting—but the thorns are sharpened, and they will draw blood.
