The idea came to life after a user on X (formerly Twitter) posted a nearly flawless roti, calling it “art.” Inspired by the post, the developer launched RotiChecker.ai, and the roti scored a solid 91 out of 100, quickly going viral with widespread likes and shares.
While the site’s slogan, “Dough or Die: The Great Gol Roti Challenge,” adds a playful twist, not everyone is amused. Some critics argue the tool could lead to unfair scrutiny, particularly of women’s cooking skills, potentially used by in-laws. The creator, however, defends the tool, noting that it’s available to everyone, including men.
