Pakistan’s business landscape continues to grow, with a significant rise in new company registrations.
In January 2025, a total of 3,442 companies were registered with the Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan (SECP), marking a 39% increase compared to the same month last year.
According to the SECP statement, the highest number of new registrations was in:
Information Technology & E-commerce – 652 companies
Trading – 463 companies
Services – 411 companies
Other key sectors that saw new registrations include:
Real Estate & Construction – 311 companies
Tourism & Transport – 242 companies
Healthcare & Pharmaceuticals – 233 companies
Food & Beverages – 152 companies
Additionally, SECP recorded:
Education – 124 companies
Mining – 119 companies
Marketing & Advertising – 86 companies
Fuel & Energy – 81 companies
Textiles – 79 companies
Corporate Farming – 73 companies
The steady rise in company registrations highlights growing investor confidence and economic momentum in the country.
