These new subjects emphasize practical learning and are designed to meet the needs of industries shaping the future workforce.

The initiative has been met with widespread praise from parents and educators, who recognize its potential to prepare students with specialized skills for the competitive global job market.

The Punjab Education Department has instructed district education officers to gather data on student interest for these new streams in the current academic session.

Education Minister Rana Sikander Hayat emphasized the importance of this shift, stating, “Matriculation was once limited to science and arts. Now, we offer a broader range of subjects that align with global educational standards.”
