A dense blanket of fog has severely reduced visibility across several motorways, causing significant disruptions to travel. According to a spokesperson for the National Highways and Motorway Police, the foggy conditions have made it extremely hazardous for drivers, with visibility reaching near zero in some areas.
Motorway M-2 has been closed from Thokar Niaz Baig to Babu Sabu due to the thick fog. Similarly, Motorway M-3 is closed from Faizpur to Nankana Sahib, while Motorway M-4 is shut down from Abdul Hakeem to Multan. Additionally, Motorway M-5 is inaccessible from Sher Shah in Multan to Zahir Pir.
Given the dangerous driving conditions, the Motorway Police has advised that the best time for travel during foggy conditions is between 10 AM and 6 PM, when visibility tends to improve.
Drivers are urged to use fog lights on both the front and rear of their vehicles to ensure better visibility. The authorities also recommend avoiding unnecessary travel during these hazardous conditions to prioritize safety.
