Adelaide Win – Australia Regains the Top Spot in WTC Rankings

-

The World Test Championship (WTC) standings just got a shake-up! Australia has jumped back to the top spot with a solid 60.71% win-loss ratio after smashing India in the Adelaide Test. The Aussies are in control, but it’s not over yet!

Right behind them, South Africa is holding strong at 2nd place with a 59.26% win-loss ratio, proving they’re serious contenders.

However, India’s crushing defeat dropped them to 3rd place with a 57.29% win-loss ratio. With three crucial away matches against Australia still to come, the pressure is on for India to bounce back.

Sri Lanka, with a balanced 50% win-loss ratio, is at 4th, while England comes in 5th with 45.24%. Even though they won against New Zealand, their slow-over-rate penalty cost them 3 WTC points, keeping them from climbing higher.

Speaking of New Zealand, they’re now at 6th with a 44.23% win-loss ratio after a heavy loss in Wellington.

Pakistan is in 7th place with a 33.33% win-loss ratio, while Bangladesh (31.25%) is in 8th, having completed all their matches this cycle. The West Indies sit at the bottom with 24.24%, but they still have a chance with 2 more away matches against Pakistan.

With the WTC nearing its conclusion, Australia is eyeing that top spot with a potential 67.65% win-loss ratio if they finish strong. South Africa’s next challenge is Sri Lanka, while India and New Zealand will need to step it up if they want to climb back into the race.

Who’s your pick for the ultimate champion? Let’s see how this thrilling race unfolds!
