Resilience from Hollywood: Cynthia Nixon Declares, “Our Tax Money is Not for Killing the Children of Gaza.”

-

Hollywood actress Cynthia Nixon has once again spoken out in support of the oppressed people of Palestine, calling on the U.S. government to stop arming Israel. In a heartfelt Instagram post, Nixon expressed her anguish over the ongoing atrocities in Gaza.

The 58-year-old actress shared, “44% of those killed by Israel’s right-wing government in Gaza are children and infants, as shown in a detailed United Nations report. Contact your U.S. Senator and urge them to stop sending weapons to Israel, which are being used to kill innocent civilians. This is a clear violation of both U.S. and international law.”

She also reminded her followers that the Senate recently voted for the first time in history to halt the flow of weapons to Israel. Nixon appealed, “Tell your Senator that our tax dollars should be spent saving lives, not taking them.”

Nixon has been a continued advocate for the people of Gaza, having previously gone on a hunger strike last year to demand a ceasefire. She criticized the Biden administration, saying, “Biden, you are starving Gaza. End the war now.”

She also recalled signing an open letter in September, alongside Mark Ruffalo, Riz Ahmed, and 700 other Hollywood figures, condemning the pressure tactics used against those supporting Palestinian rights and denouncing the ongoing “McCarthyism” efforts.
