Babar Azam has etched his name in Pakistan’s cricket history by becoming the most-capped player in T20 Internationals for the country. The milestone came in his 124th T20I match against Australia in Brisbane, surpassing the previous record held by all-rounder Shoaib Malik, who had appeared in 123 T20Is.

Babar Azam has taken 52 catches in T20Is, leading the list of most catches by any Pakistani player. Close behind him are Fakhar Zaman and Shoaib Malik, both with 50 catches. Umar Akmal and Shadab Khan round out the top five with 39 and 36 catches, respectively.

However, it was a challenging day for Pakistan on the field, as they suffered a heavy defeat in the first T20I. Babar managed just 3 runs before being dismissed by Ellis, but his individual achievement still stands as a testament to his consistency and dedication.
