“Kal Ho Naa Ho” – Shah Rukh’s Iconic Film Returns to Theaters After 20 Years

-

In 2003, Shah Rukh Khan’s blockbuster Kal Ho Naa Ho hit cinemas, produced on a modest budget of 32 crore Indian rupees and earning 82.05 crore globally. Now, 20 years later, this iconic film is set to return to Indian theaters on November 15. Alongside Shah Rukh, the film also starred Preity Zinta and Saif Ali Khan in lead roles.

Despite its massive success, Shah Rukh reportedly disliked the film’s ending, where his character dies. According to Indian media, director Nikhil Advani shared in an interview that Shah Rukh hated the death scene, feeling it didn’t do justice to the character.

In fact, Shah Rukh was so dissatisfied with the ending that he chose not to show the original version to his children. Karan Johar had created a special edit, ending with Shah Rukh’s character boarding a flight, which his children saw and accepted as the real conclusion.

Shah Rukh’s record-breaking film is now set for re-release, with audiences eagerly awaiting its return to the big screen.
