World Leaders Condemn Quetta Attack, Extend Support to Pakistan

-

In the wake of a tragic terrorist attack at Quetta Railway Station, Russian President Vladimir Putin expressed his condolences to Pakistan’s President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif. Putin voiced his sorrow over the devastating incident, which caused numerous casualties, describing it as a “barbaric crime” and stressing the need for justice.

“We are determined to continue close cooperation with our Pakistani partners against all forms and manifestations of terrorism,” Putin stated in his message, reaffirming Russia’s commitment to aiding Pakistan in its fight against extremism. He further pledged that Russia would support Pakistan’s efforts to bring those responsible for the attack to justice.

Malaysian Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim also conveyed his sympathies, sharing his condolences on behalf of Malaysia. “On behalf of Malaysia, I extend our deepest condolences to the people of Pakistan, who mourn this senseless and devastating loss,” he posted on X. Ibrahim condemned the violence and highlighted the ongoing threat posed by extremist ideologies. “These acts of utter ruthlessness and violence remind us of the relentless threats posed by extremism and ideological rigidity—forces that undermine progress and peace in Muslim societies,” he said.

Turkey also issued a strong condemnation, with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs extending condolences to Pakistan and expressing wishes for a swift recovery for the injured. “We will continue to support Pakistan in its fight against terrorism,” the Ministry’s statement affirmed.

The unified response from the international community reflects widespread condemnation and strong support for Pakistan as it continues to combat the threat of terrorism
