Textile Success – Pakistan’s Exports Jump 9.51%!

-

Pakistan’s textile exports have seen a notable increase of 9.51% in the first quarter of the 2024-25 financial year, reaching $4.520 billion compared to $4.127 billion during the same period last year.

Key contributors to this growth included cotton cloth, which rose by 10.20% to $523.63 million, and knitwear, which surged by 14.13% to $1.268 billion.

Other significant increases were observed in bedwear, which grew by 13.31% to $794.97 million, and readymade garments, which saw a remarkable rise of 23.17% to $996.83 million.

However, not all categories performed well. Cotton yarn exports plummeted by 48.45%, dropping from $315.40 million to $162.58 million, while raw cotton exports fell to zero.

Year-on-year, textile exports in September 2024 were up by 17.92%, totaling $1.604 billion compared to $1.361 billion in September 2023. However, there was a slight month-on-month decrease of 2.40% from August 2024’s $1.644 billion.
