Will ‘Dhoom 4’ Unite Ranbir Kapoor and Shraddha Kapoor on Screen?

-

Bollywood star Shraddha Kapoor is rumored to star alongside Ranbir Kapoor in the upcoming reboot of the action franchise, Dhoom 4, produced by Yash Raj Films.

According to reports, the film is currently in the pre-production phase, with Ranbir set to play a negative role.

Notably, original cast members Abhishek Bachchan and Uday Chopra will not be part of this new installment, as fresh talent is expected to join the cast.

Recent updates suggest that Shraddha, who co-starred with Ranbir in Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar, may take on the leading female role in Dhoom 4.

However, fans are divided over this casting choice. Many believe that Deepika Padukone or Triptii Dimri, who co-starred with Ranbir in Animal, would be more suitable for an action film.

Comments on social media reflect this sentiment, with users arguing that Triptii’s pairing with Ranbir was more iconic and that Deepika is a major female lead yet to appear in the Dhoom series.

On the flip side, some fans of Shraddha are optimistic about her role. They suggest that she should be given a strong action heroine character rather than a traditional supporting role. Others expressed excitement at the possibility of her portraying a complex villain, emphasizing the need for more well-developed female antagonists in mainstream films.

Production for Dhoom 4 is expected to start by late 2025 or early 2026.
