Turkish Company’s Bid for Islamabad Airport Outsourcing Approved

-

In a significant development regarding the outsourcing of Islamabad International Airport, the bid from a Turkish company has received technical approval, according to InShort News sources on Tuesday.

Details indicate that while several bids were submitted for the outsourcing process, representatives from two companies were disqualified for submitting their documents late.

The Turkish firm presented the highest bid for the project, with the tender process overseen by a committee led by the Secretary of Aviation.

The evaluation of the Turkish company’s documents is currently ongoing, and once completed, its proposal will be forwarded to the Pakistan Airports Authority’s Board of Directors for consideration. If approved by the board, the outsourcing contract will then be presented to the federal cabinet for final approval.

Secretary of Aviation Ahsan Mangi is scheduled to update the Prime Minister on the outsourcing developments today.

In September, the Ministry of Aviation began exploring the potential outsourcing of Pakistan’s three major airports, including Karachi, Lahore, and Islamabad.

The ministry has requested updated passenger traffic and flight operation data from the past two years for these airports, along with detailed information on their revenue and operational contracts.
