PIA Air Hostess Caught in Multi-Million Mobile Smuggling Scheme

-

Customs officials at Lahore’s Allama Iqbal International Airport have intensified their efforts against mobile phone smuggling, conducting two separate operations.

In these operations, valuable mobile phones worth millions of rupees were confiscated from a PIA air hostess and two passengers, as reported by InShort News on Friday.

Officials revealed that PIA Air Hostess Nadia Batool attempted to smuggle 30 iPhones, valued at over Rs 11.2 million, by hiding them in various parts of her body and luggage.

In another case, passengers Muhammad Arshad and his wife Fariha Amin were found with mobile phones worth Rs 5.5 million, hidden inside their baggage.

All three individuals were arrested, and legal action has been initiated against them.

Following the bust involving the air hostess on flight PK-204 from Dubai to Lahore, PIA suspended the implicated crew members in line with its strict policy on employee misconduct.

A spokesperson for PIA reaffirmed that the airline will enforce tough disciplinary measures against any employee breaking the law, emphasizing its zero-tolerance stance on illegal activities.
