The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has unveiled the match officials for the highly anticipated Test series against England, set to take place this October.
Sir Richie Richardson from the West Indies, a member of the ICC Elite Panel of Match Referees, will oversee the playing control teams for all three matches in the ICC World Test Championship 2023-25 series.
In the first Test, scheduled from October 7 to 11 at the Multan Cricket Stadium, Sri Lanka’s Kumar Dharmasena and Bangladesh’s Sharfuddoula Saikat—both esteemed ICC Elite Panel Umpires—will serve as on-field umpires.
New Zealand’s Christopher Gaffaney, also part of the ICC Elite Panel, will take on the role of third umpire, while Pakistan’s Asif Yaqoob, from the ICC International Panel of Umpires, will be the fourth umpire.
For the second Test, running from October 15 to 19, Dharmasena will again officiate alongside Gaffaney as on-field umpires, with Saikat as the third umpire and Pakistan’s Rashid Riaz serving as the fourth umpire.
The third Test, taking place from October 24 at the Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium, will see Gaffaney and Saikat as on-field umpires, with Dharmasena as the third umpire and Pakistan’s Faisal Aafreedi as the fourth umpire.
Both teams will compete in a three-match Test series in Multan and Rawalpindi, with the first match kicking off on October 7.
