“MDCAT 2024 Results” – Controversies and Concerns Two Students Lead with 194 Marks

-

The eagerly awaited results of the MDCAT 2024 have been announced, highlighting top scores and igniting conversations about exam management.

Khyber Medical University (KMU) has released the results of the Medical and Dental College Admission Test (MDCAT) 2024, with two students achieving the highest score of 194 marks.

Out of 41,671 candidates who participated in the MDCAT on September 22, 670 students scored above 181 marks, indicating a highly competitive field of aspiring medical professionals. The test was conducted nationwide under the supervision of the Pakistan Medical and Dental Council (PMDC).

In Punjab, the University of Health Sciences (UHS) organized the exam across 26 centers in 12 cities, accommodating a total of 58,380 candidates—40,364 of whom were female and 18,016 male. In Lahore, eight centers were set up, with six designated for female candidates and two for male candidates, all supervised by over 4,000 teachers.

Despite these extensive preparations, several instances of mismanagement occurred. At NED University in Karachi, six candidates were denied entry, leading to frustration among parents and students. One student, who had been injured in a traffic accident, was not allowed to enter, resulting in emotional scenes at the gate. Additionally, reports surfaced of a female candidate attempting to gain access through a restricted area.

Parents and students expressed their dissatisfaction with the apparent mismanagement, especially regarding early gate closures and the overall handling of candidates.
