“Forgiveness Amid Tragedy – Family Pardons Karsaz Accident Suspect”

Family Forgives Suspect in Karsaz Road Accident
On Friday, the family of the Karsaz road accident victims forgave the suspect, stating they had no objections to granting bail as the accident was unintentional.

Affidavit of Forgiveness
An affidavit submitted in court during the bail hearing read, “We have resolved the issue and forgiven the suspect for the sake of Allah, who is the most kind and merciful.”

No-Objection Certificates (NOCs) Presented
The heirs of the accident victims, including Imran Arif’s son Usama Arif, wife, and daughter, presented no-objection certificates (NOCs) to the court, affirming their decision was made without any pressure.

Bail Granted
The additional district and sessions judge East granted the suspect bail against a Rs100,000 surety bond. Danish Iqbal, the husband of the accused, also had his interim bail confirmed with a Rs50,000 bond.

Resolution and Legal Proceedings
The court was informed that the dispute between the injured parties and the defendants had been resolved. The suspect’s lawyer explained that she had been undergoing mental health treatment since 2005 and had a valid UK driving license. The complainant’s lawyer submitted the NOCs to the court.

Accident Details and Charges
The accident occurred on August 19 near the Pakistan Maritime Museum, resulting in the deaths of Aamna, 26, and her father, Imran, 60. The suspect’s vehicle crashed into several other vehicles, leading to these fatalities and injuries. The suspect, who tested positive for methamphetamine, is also facing charges of negligence and culpable homicide.
