Babar Azam Falls Out of ICC Test Top Ten Rankings After Series Loss

-

Babar Azam has dropped out of the ICC Test Batting Rankings top ten following Pakistan’s recent series defeat to Bangladesh, which saw them lose both Test matches.

In the second Test, Bangladesh defeated Pakistan by six wickets, completing a historic series sweep. Pakistan’s poor performance has resulted in their lowest Test team ranking since 1965, falling to eighth place.

Babar Azam struggled during the series, scoring just 64 runs across four innings, causing him to fall to 12th position in the batting rankings. Mohammad Rizwan remains Pakistan’s top batter at 10th place, thanks to his 294 runs in the series.

Other notable movements include Salman Ali Agha rising to 31st and Shan Masood moving up to 63rd.

However, vice-captain Saud Shakeel dropped to 20th, and Abdullah Shafique fell to 42nd. In the bowling rankings, Shaheen Afridi dropped to 11th, and Naseem Shah fell to 35th. Khurram Shahzad made a significant gain, climbing 35 places to 60th.
