The Muttahida Qaumi Movement-Pakistan (MQM-P) has called for a protest against K-Electric on September 5, citing grievances over high power bills.
The demonstration will be held outside K-Electric’s head office, with MQM-P urging the public to join in and demand fair billing practices.
The party’s decision comes amid growing frustration over what they allege are excessive power charges. MQM-P spokespersons have criticized K-Electric for its billing policies and are mobilizing citizens to make their voices heard.
In addition to the protest, MQM-P has voiced concerns about the deteriorating infrastructure in Karachi following recent rains.
They accuse local officials of neglecting the city’s roads and infrastructure, questioning their commitment to addressing the challenges faced by residents.
