“Tragedy and Turmoil – The Intensifying Case Against Natasha in the Karachi Karsaz Accident”

-

In a recent development regarding the Karachi Karsaz traffic accident, the legal case against Natasha, the main suspect, has intensified.

The case has drawn significant attention due to the seriousness of the charges and the questions surrounding Natasha’s mental state at the time of the incident. Here’s a summary of the latest updates.

The judicial magistrate has ordered Natasha to be held in jail for 14 days on judicial remand.

During a hearing at the Karachi City Court, the magistrate ruled that Natasha would remain in custody while the case proceeds.

Her lawyer argued that the charges are bailable, but the investigating officer pointed out that Section 322, recently added to the case, is non-bailable. This section covers culpable homicide, which escalates the severity of the charges.

The petitioner’s lawyer questioned whether Natasha was under the influence of drugs at the time of the accident, which allegedly led to the deaths of two people.

When asked by the court, Natasha identified her husband’s name as Danish and denied any police torture. The investigating officer was instructed to present the investigation report at the next hearing.

Culpable Homicide Charge Added:

The investigation revealed that Natasha did not possess a local driving license at the time of the accident, leading the police to add a charge of culpable homicide under Section 322 due to her alleged speeding. Initially, the case only included Section 320, related to accidental murder.

Sources indicated that police reviewed CCTV footage showing Natasha’s car traveling at around 100 kilometers per hour on a service road where the speed limit is typically 30 to 40 kilometers per hour. This significant over-speeding contributed to the escalation of charges.

Additionally, Dr. Chunni Lal, head of the psychiatric ward at Jinnah Hospital, reported that Natasha’s mental condition is stable and the likelihood of suicide is low, contradicting her family’s claims of mental illness. She has since been discharged from the hospital.

Despite her family’s claims, no prior medical records supporting Natasha’s mental health issues were provided. Dr. Lal noted that although Natasha appeared in poor condition upon arriving at the hospital on August 19, she is now deemed fit.
