”Digital Sahafat” Google Launches Program to enhance Digital Journalism

-

To foster quality journalism in the digital age, Google has launched an innovative program in Pakistan.

This initiative aims to empower local journalists with the skills and resources needed to thrive in today’s media landscape.

Google has unveiled a new program, ‘Digital Sahafat’, in partnership with Tech Valley, to enhance the digital journalism skills of Pakistani reporters.

This initiative, part of the Google News Initiative (GNI), aims to equip 1,000 journalists with the necessary tools, training, and resources to produce high-quality digital content.

The GNI, dedicated to combating misinformation and fostering innovation in the news industry, will launch the program in Islamabad on September 4.

The event will feature prominent speakers, including Kate Beddoe from Google and representatives from Tech Valley.

This collaboration is part of Google’s ongoing commitment to supporting global journalism.

Since 2018, the GNI has worked with thousands of news organizations across 100 countries, providing tools, programs, and workshops to help publishers adapt to the changing media landscape.

Tech Valley, established in 2015, bridges Pakistan’s public and private sectors, promoting technology.
