Pakistan’s IT exports have surged, reaching $286 million in July of the current financial year, as announced by Minister of State for IT and Telecommunication, Shaza Fatima Khawaja.
This impressive growth was highlighted during a meeting led by Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, which focused on key IT sector initiatives such as the Islamabad IT Park and Digital Smart Cities.
The Ministry of Information Technology attributed this success to the government’s concentrated efforts to enhance Pakistan’s global IT competitiveness, with special recognition of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif’s commitment to the sector’s development.
Prime Minister Sharif expressed satisfaction with the progress of the Islamabad IT Park, which is now on track to be completed by February 2025, ahead of its original June 2025 timeline.
