Jemima Goldsmith, the former wife of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder Imran Khan, has always kept a strong connection with Pakistan, despite leaving the country years ago.
However, recent events have taken a concerning turn as she now faces cyber-harassment.
In response to the ongoing harassment, Jemima has blocked all emails from Pakistan, according to News on Friday. On X (formerly Twitter), she explained that this drastic step was necessary to shield herself from online abuse.
Jemima attributed the harassment to PTI’s political opponents, labeling them as “desperate” in their efforts to target her. She also noted that, due to X being banned in Pakistan, only those using VPNs would be able to access her message.
Reflecting on her longstanding ties to the country, Jemima commented that “Pakistani politics is a gift that continues to haunt me even 20 years after leaving.”
