ISPR Announces Arrest of Three More Ex-Army Officers

RAWALPINDI: The Pakistan Army has taken three more retired officers into custody for breaching military discipline, according to a report by on Thursday, citing Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR).

Details from the military’s public relations office reveal that the retired officers were detained in connection with the ongoing court-martial proceedings against former ISI chief, Lt. General (Retired) Faiz Hameed.

ISPR stated, “Further investigations are underway involving certain retired officers and their collaborators for allegedly inciting instability, in coordination with political entities pursuing their own interests.”

Earlier, on August 13, the former ISI chief was placed under military custody, as confirmed by ISPR.

The Pakistan Army’s media wing also announced the initiation of court-martial proceedings against former Director General (DG) of Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI), Faiz Hameed.

In compliance with the Supreme Court of Pakistan’s directives, the Pakistan Army conducted a thorough court of inquiry into complaints lodged against Lt. Gen.

Faiz Hameed (Retd) related to the Top City Case. As a result, disciplinary actions have been undertaken against Lt. Gen. Faiz Hameed (Retd) under the provisions of the Pakistan Army Act, according to ISPR.
