On Monday night, Nimra Khan shared a disturbing experience on Instagram, revealing that she was nearly kidnapped while waiting for her car outside a hotel in DHA, Karachi.
In the video, Khan described the terrifying ordeal: “What happened yesterday is horrifying. Would you want this to happen to your daughter, wife, or sister? I can assure you that your daughters aren’t safe here.”
She recounted, “I was standing near the Ramada with my phones and bags when three men tried to kidnap me. They held me at gunpoint and dragged me toward their car. I screamed for help, but no one came.”
Khan added, “Even with four guards nearby, no one intervened. I had to defend myself and managed to escape, despite being injured. I sought help from a passing car, and the occupants and hotel staff rescued me.”
She criticized law enforcement, stating, “How can I feel safe in a country where I’m a taxpayer? I’m not secure here and now understand why people hire guards or move abroad. We need better protection in Pakistan.”
Khan also discussed the emotional toll on her and her family, including her mother. She concluded, “I can say I’m a proud Muslim, but not a proud Pakistani. Stay safe and stay indoors.”
