9,000 Free Solar Panels in Sindh for Consumers Using Less Than 300 Units

-

In a major development for Sindh, the government is set to launch a new initiative aimed at providing free solar panels to residents.

This move is expected to offer relief to those struggling with high electricity costs.

Sindh Energy Minister Syed Nasir Hussain Shah announced the initiative during a recent meeting about the free solar supply project.

He stressed the urgency of the initiative to ensure that solar panels reach those in need by the end of the month.

Shah stated, “We will soon start distributing solar panels across each division and district.”

He explained that the Sindh government aims to provide relief through affordable electricity, with solarization serving as a means to offer cheaper power to residents.

Highlighting the burden of high electricity costs, Shah noted that inflated bills have exceeded many people’s purchasing power, causing widespread hardship.

Earlier, Sindh Governor Kamran Tessori announced on August 3 that free solar panels would be given to residents using up to 300 units of electricity.

The first phase of the project will see 9,000 solar panels distributed at no cost, enabling recipients to use up to 300 units of electricity through solar power.
