Punjab Introduces E-Registration Cards to Simplify Vehicle Documentation*

-

The Punjab government has introduced e-registration cards for vehicles to enhance convenience for citizens and help them avoid traffic violations.

The Excise, Taxation, and Narcotics Control Department of Punjab has launched this digital solution and provided details on how to obtain these cards.

To avoid traffic challans and other legal complications, drivers are required to carry their registration cards, which may be requested by security personnel to verify a vehicle’s status.

The department now offers both physical and digital versions of the registration cards.

Citizens can easily download their e-registration cards at no cost by following these steps:

  1. Visit the Excise, Taxation, and Narcotics Control Department’s official website at https://excise.punjab.gov.pk/.
  2. Click on the “E-registration Card” button in the menu bar.
  3. Enter the vehicle’s registration and chassis numbers, then click the search button.
  4. Download the e-registration card after verification.
