Fatal Conflicts in Punjab Due to High Electricity Bills Result in Killings

In Gujranwala, Punjab, a man killed his younger brother following an argument over a steep electricity bill.

Police reported that the incident took place at a residence on Prince Road in Gujranwala city.

The brothers, Murtaza and Umar Farooq, engaged in a violent altercation over the costly electricity bill.

In another incident in Faisalabad, a man was fatally stabbed by his younger brother over a similarly high electricity bill that neither wanted to pay.

This occurred within the jurisdiction of Balochni police station, where police stated Ghulam Fareed and Muhammad Qais fought over responsibility for the bill.
