The Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee is scheduled to meet later today to observe the sighting of the Zilhaj moon.
This will take place at the Pakistan Meteorological Department building in Karachi, with simultaneous zonal meetings in provincial capitals and Islamabad.
Just one day ago, Saudi Arabia’s Supreme Court announced the sighting of the Zilhaj moon, marking the beginning of the last month of the Islamic calendar.
The rituals of Haj are set to commence on June 14, with the Day of Arafat following on June 15 Eidul Azha will then be observed in the kingdom on June 16.
